Welcome to APEC 2021
Welcome to APEC 2021
In 2021, New Zealand will host APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) virtually. As we plan for recovery from COVID-19, it is APEC, the most dynamic regional economy in the world, that will help us rebuild. There has never been a more important time to join together.

Upcoming meetings
From December 2020 until November 2021, New Zealand will host hundreds of APEC meetings in dozens of clusters, with many more unique sessions.
Charting our recovery and reigniting growth
New Zealand is planning to lead the process to develop an action agenda that will implement the new vision developed during Malaysia's host year. The APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040 is the successor to the Bogor Goals from 1994, and champions for an "open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific community by 2040, for the prosperity of all our people and future generations".
This important piece of work will see New Zealand play a leadership role in shaping the APEC region, including its COVID-19 response, into the future.
