Dr David Suzuki

The Sustainability Imperative

Professor Emeritus at Canada’s University of British Columbia and holder of more than 30 honorary degrees from universities around the world, Dr David Suzuki is a scientist, environmentalist, author and television and radio broadcaster. His numerous awards include the Companion to the Order of Canada, UNESCO’s Kalinga Prize for science, the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television's Lifetime Achievement Award, the Inamori Ethics Prize, United Nations Environment Program medal, and British Columbia Reconciliation Award. He co-founded the David Suzuki Foundation in 1990 to collaborate with Canadians from all walks of life on environmental conservation through science-based research, education and policy.
